Well I'm finally in Venice... and could probably be enjoying it more if it hadn't been pouring down rain when we got here. We also had to spend an unfair amount of time in lines to reserve our spot on the night train to croatia tomorrow...
The hostel we're in is very much what I was expecting from hostel life. It's run by a woman and her son, and we get free family dinner tonight and free breakfast tomorrow. Free meaning that it's just included in our lodging so we better get our money's worth. I think we're going to try and do the gondola ride in the morning. I was sad to leave Florence, but hopefully once Jenna and I get out and about here in Venice it'll get better. We have the entire day tomorrow since our train doesn't leave until 930 p.m.... but that means we get into Zagreb at like 430 in the morning. ugh.
Mom - we'll try and find the view toward santa lucia. i had that painting in mine and jenna's room my junior year.

Rain! Oregonians. No problem. I have a novel about Venice you may like to read someday. I told my Mom where you were and she was so excited! They can't figure out how to check your blog or even what a blog is. I'll have Ryan help them. have fun. I am curious as to what internet access will be like in Croatia. Pick up a few seashells if they have them and flower seeds too if they selll them for export.Mom
